Our club paddled two voyageur canoes starting at Fort Saint James reenacting the voyageurs departure with cargo to be delivered down the river. We were accompanied by other voyageur canoes from the area. We camped en route along the river. We paddled for a week reenacting the arrival of the voyageur canoes along the way, at Prince George and Quesnel. We paddled on to Alexandria to complete Simon Fraser's route.The following weekend we continued our reenactment of Simon Fraser's paddle from Hope to Vancouver including Brigade Days in Fort Langley.
